Michele Alexander is a tax lawyer with over 25 years of experience advising on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, fund formations and joint ventures, capital markets, financings and restructurings in and out of bankruptcy.

Michele also assists nonprofit organizations, often on a pro bono basis, advising on applications for tax exemption as well as ongoing tax and legal advice.

Michele has written and spoken extensively on a number of tax topics, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and by the National Law Review as a Thought Leader. She also has served as the chairperson of the New York City Tax Club (2019-2020).

In addition to her busy tax practice, Michele has volunteered during numerous election cycles, with a focus on GOTV (Get Out the Vote), voter registration and combatting voter suppression.
